Various Kinds Of Breast Enhancements

Transumbilical (TUBA): In this technique, an incision is done through the belly button. This method is beneficial in that scarring remains minimal with no scarring to the breast area. In such scenario, an endoscope is used to help the surgeon in locating the implant position of breasts conveniently.

Inframammary: In this method, an incision is placed below the breast in the infra-mammary fold (IMF). This is considered as one of the most general form of incisions which allows the surgeon the greatest amount of access for precise dissection and placement of implant. It’s also common for silicone gel plants which are to be inserted in the way so that incision holes could be larger.

Periareolar:  In this breast enhancement or augmentation method, an incision is placed along the areolar border. As far as handling adjustments to mastopexy (breast lift) or the IMF position procedures are concerned, this method is considered as the best. Silicone gel implants are difficult to incorporate with the incision type as size of this incision is no longer than 5cm. In these conditions, it’s difficult to fit the silicone implant through. There is a disadvantage of this technique in terms of breast feeding as scarring is less evident from this procedure.
